Passengers must have warm clothing and footwear available when boarding the aircraft, or transportation may be denied.
October 1 through May 1 Appropriate Clothing Required
- Heavy coat or jacket
- Warm gloves or mittens
- Winter cap or hat or hood which covers the ears
- Warm substantial footwear (including warm socks) with sturdy outer-sole
October 1 through May 1 Inappropriate Clothing
- Raincoats, windbreakers, jacket shells or vests without accompanying heavy coat
- Shorts or dresses without leg protection
- Open toe, open heel, or shoes with slick soles
- Office shoes such as loafers, wing-tips, flats, clogs, high heels, or sandals
PEDs are any piece of lightweight, electronically powered equipment. These devices are typically consumer electronic devices functionally capable of communications, data processing and/or utility. Small PEDs are devices that are less than 2 lbs. and are capable of fitting in seatback pocket. Large PEDs are items that are 2 lbs. or greater and do not fit in the seatback pocket or are of a size that may impede emergency egress. Large PEDs must be turned off and stowed in an approved carry-on location such as an overhead bin or underneath the seat.
Acceptable for Use at All Times
- Portable voice recorders.
- Hearing aids.
- Heart pacemakers.
- Electric shavers.
- Portable Oxygen Concentrators that comply with the requirements in 14 CFR § 125.219; or
- Any other PED that ConocoPhillips has determined will not cause interference with the navigation or communication system of the aircraft on which it is to be used.
Cell Phones
Cellular phones may be used until door closure (talk/text features). At door closure, cell phones must be in “airplane mode” and have a functional display confirming the transmitting functions are inactive. If the “airplane mode” cannot be confirmed or the display is not obvious, the device cannot be used in flight.
Cellular phones may be used during taxi to gate upon arrival (talk/text features).
PEDs Restricted Below 10,000 Feet
- Computers and related accessories.
- Video cameras - Must be turned off and stowed for taxi, takeoff, and landing.
